In the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris received 75 million votes. Trump got 77 million and said, “FUCK YOU” to the 75 million that didn’t vote for him. Now he’s trying to make sure that he doesn’t lose his majority. The problem is, he’s power-hungry, and his Caesar complex has gone to his head. He’s senile and old, and the people around him are propping him up and banking on the fact that there are enough old white people who vote who can keep him in office so that they can promote his MAGA philosophy.
What’s the difference between a Republican and a “Trumplican”? Old white people. Not all of them, of course. But unfortunately, there is enough to influence an election. Add them to the lunatics that were unleashed to practice their family tradition of long-term racism.
You can win an election.
There was a time when Republicans did represent “Christian values” …wink, wink…Have they lost their moral compass altogether? It looks like they have. How much OBVIOUS bullshit can you put up with? Can you really turn your back on the injustices that you are seeing?
It’s one thing to brush off the millions of people in impoverished places in the world who are displaced by war and injustice. That’s so far away. You hear about it. You don’t see the pictures or the actual atrocity. But to deliberately enforce that type of cruelty on your own American citizens, just because they didn’t vote for you, is fucked up.
We all know that was a bunch of bullshit when those senators and congressmen were getting caught talking, not realizing that there was an “open mic” that was listening and broadcasting what they were saying.
Publicists were earning their paychecks BIGTIME, putting a spin on that shit. That was decades ago. Circa present day, where they have elevated the art of spin to an art form.
The song, “It wasn’t me”, comes to mind when I think of the LIE IN YOUR FACE attitude portrayed by Trump, FOX News, and all the Trumplicans who are profiting on the backs of folks who simply don’t agree with that racist doctrine.
If you are an immigrant fleeing a poverty-stricken country and trying to make a better life for yourself and your family, why are you labeled a drug dealer or some violent criminal?
If you came to the U.S. as a child and have been here for a time, with a job, a family, paying your taxes, and never been in any serious situation with the authorities…but, because you have not/were not allowed to/ finish the citizenship process, now you are labeled a ‘threat to society’, and you have to be removed from the country?
Is that right?
I believe, like most, in doing the right thing by people. The Bible says, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Present-day society says, “Survival of the fittest!” and steps on the next guy to achieve their goals.
How long will we last as a people with that type of attitude?
